The focus of this ACTION meeting is:
- To welcome new member groups and individuals into ChangeMakers membership;
- To hear presentations from member organizations on issues they would like ChangeMakers to take forward to action research;
- To organize members and supporters into Action Research teams.
Action research teams will look in depth at each issue and report back to the ChangeMakers Strategy Team following which a decision will be made as to which issue(s) to take forward to immediate action.
This is an exciting stage in the mobilization of diverse grass roots communities achieving change for the common good.

Applications for the CSJ Awards 2009 are now open. Are you tackling local poverty and giving people a second chance in life?

This is the fifth year of the CSJ Awards. We’ve been able to give over £150,000 to more than 25 organisations each tackling unique challenge in innovative ways.
“The Awards is a real highlight of the year,” says Philippa Stroud, CSJ Executive Director, “The event is a fantastic opportunity to show policy makers that there are armies of compassion across the UK turning people’s lives around, giving communities a second chance.”
The Awards attracts an audience of senior policy makers and politicians which to date have included David Blunkett, John Reid, David Cameron, Boris Johnson, Vince Cable and Sir Menzies Campbell amongst others.
