Last Chance For Training …

September 30, 2008

We Have Just A Few Places Left – if you are interested act IMMEDIATELY !

Changemakers is about developing the capacity of local people to take part effectively in public life in their local community, and training is key to that aim. The training that we run challenges people to put their passion and energy at the service of their community – it is about developing our power and our ability to act effectively together.

The training is for those:

· wanting to play a more active role in their organisation, community group, school, congregation, or trade union

· keen to develop their leadership skills and those of others

· wanting to develop personal confidence and awareness

· interested in understanding how to make an organisation more effective and inclusive

· inquisitive about who makes the decisions which impact on our lives, our families, our organisations and how we can influence those decisions

· eager to learn better ‘people’ skills and how to work as a team

· willing to work for the things they believe in

The training teaches:

· new leadership techniques

· how to connect your personal and group values to practical action

· the role that power and self-interest have in holding a group together and in making the world work

A selection of evaluation comments from the training in March 08:

“This is a really challenging course and leads us into a new place of power in making change.”

“It has opened to me a new and different way of working as a community activist.”

“Challenging, occasionally uncomfortable, but enriching and refreshing.”

To those of you who’ve already experienced the training and know of someone in your organization who will benefit, this is your opportunity to identify other leaders – talk to them about your experience and invite them to the training !!!
